The Events

Event 2 – TRIPLE THREAT PRESSING MEDLEY (60 secs)

The athletes will have 60 second to press above their heads, three implements, a Beer Keg, a Steel Log and an Axle.

Incredibly the heavyweight men will be lifting these weights:

  • 100kg Beer Keg
  • 130kg Log
  • 140kg Axle

Event 3 – Rising Bar AXLE DEADLIFT

The bar will keep increasing each round in weight and the athletes have to keep lifting until the last person is left who can lift the most weight.  The Heavyweight Men will start off at 280kg on the Axle and this will go up by 20kg increments, and then once half or more of the competitors have failed, by 10kg increments.

Event 4 – TRIPLE TORMENT CARRY (60 secs)

The athletes get the joy (sarcastic) of carrying three painful and awkward objects for 15m each.  The Heavyweight Men will be lifting:

  1. Yoke 325kg
  2. Farmers 150kg (In each hand)
  3. Husafel Stone Carry 150kg

Event 5 – ATLAS Stone Over Bar (75 secs).

The athletes have 75 seconds to lift a round concrete Atlas stone over a 1m plus bar, as many times as they can in 75 seconds.

Each athlete has the choice of a heavier or lighter stone, but one repetition with the heavier stone will always outscore any number with the lighter stone.

The Heavyweight men will have the choice of a 160kg or 200kg stone.
